Today, we are announcing that Wirestock has raised $23 million in Series A funding, led by Nava Ventures
When we started Wirestock, the idea was simple: build technology that empowers creators. We began with tools that helped photographers, videographers, and illustrators license and monetize their work. Over time, something larger came into focus. We saw the extraordinary demand that frontier AI development was creating for high-quality, diverse, human-made creative data and we saw that almost no one was meeting that demand in a way that respected the people producing the content.
So we built a platform that has since grown into a community of over 700,000 creators across photography, video, graphic design, 3D art, music, and more where creative work is produced intentionally, curated rigorously, and licensed ethically. That platform now serves the world's leading AI labs. Millions of assets have been licensed for AI training, and we have paid more than $15 million directly to creators. And we are only beginning.
Why This Funding, and Why Now
The AI industry is at an inflection point. The models being built today and the ones that will define the next decade are only as capable as the data they are trained on. As those models grow more sophisticated, the demand for richer, more nuanced, more diverse training data grows with them. The gap between what AI labs need and what is responsibly available is widening.
Wirestock exists to close that gap. This $23 million gives us the resources to do it at a scale that matches the ambition of the problem.

What We Are Building
This investment will go toward two interconnected priorities.
First, expanding the creator platform. We will build new tools, project formats, and earning pathways that make it easier for creative professionals whether established or emerging to contribute and earn consistently. The more deeply we invest in the creator experience, the stronger the data we can produce.
Second, scaling our data creation capabilities. The investment will expand our capacity to execute on increasingly complex custom datasets, extend coverage across emerging creative modalities, and deepen the integrations that make Wirestock's data pipelines a seamless extension of its AI lab partners' research workflows. As the models being built today push into new domains of perception, generation, and reasoning, the infrastructure required to train them must keep pace. We are building that infrastructure.
